Fire Boat General Description: A traditionally crafted wooden fire boat.
The aft deck is open with a water cannon mounted securely to the deck. The water cannon is pressurized with a simple garden hose connection. The water cannon is great fun on hot summer days.
The amidships pilot house protects the ship’s wheel, the play throttle and knobs are on the dash. The pilot house has two open port holes.
Overall length is 10 feet.

The vessel is handcrafted using traditional wooden boatbuilding techniques, the construction is exceptional. The framing, top timbers, cap rail and deck houses are crafted of 3/4 inch white oak. The hull planking is 1/2 inch thick. Planks are fastened on frames with stainless steel screws. The deck is crafted of 1 x 6 inch IPE, fastened on frames with stainless deck screws. IPE is a brazilian walnut known for its beauty and durability. Standard features:
The fire boat has a 16 inch solid bronze ship’s wheel. The wheel is solidly mounted and turns freely for play. Port and starboard decorative running lights are securely mounted. A flag staff proudly displays the U.S flag.
Finish stains:
We have a wide variety of vibrant finish stains available. They create long lasting fun colors for kids play. The interior of the vessel is oiled to allow for the natural beauty of the white oak and IPE to show through. All finishes are safe for children’s play. Base structure/ setup details:
The base is crafted of moisture resistant material and designed to set on a flat surface. The vessel is fastened to the ground with 4 to 6 simple ground anchors. The ground and play area surrounding the vessel should be prepared with loose mulch or otherwise appropriate ground cover. We are available to discuss options if needed. This base design allows for easy movement of the vessel to another place, if so desired. Cost:
